Abstract

Abstracts of 300 words or less may be electronically submitted and are due by 1 February 2007. Abstract submitters will be notified of acceptance and assignment by 1 March 2007.

Paper and Poster

Plenary, concurrent, special topic and poster sessions are being planned.

Climate-Demographics-Management -- The 21st Century Fire Trangle
The theme of the 2007 EastFIRE Conference is the manifold consequences for fire management of anticipated 21st Century climate and demographic changes. 21st Century solutions will require management for future conditions that are significantly altered from past regimes. The eastern United States offers a particulary relevant areana for considering fire in adaptively managing for sustainable values in the face of demographic and climatic change.

Submission

Submissions are encouraged from the wide array of technical areas that inform fire science including, but not limited to, fire weather, fire modeling, fuels, smoke management, air quality, remote sensing, demographics, fire ecology, climate, and carbon cycling. Click here for online submission.
